An easy way to support Wake Up Narcolepsy while you work.
An easy way to give to Wake Up Narcolepsy is through a payroll deduction donation. By giving through recurring or one-time payroll deduction, your donation is automatically deducted from your paycheck, there are no extra fees and because employees’ payroll donations come out of their after-tax earnings, their donation is tax-deductible. Recurring payroll deduction allows you to spread your pledge over the course of a year, in smaller, more financially manageable amounts to be deducted from your paycheck. Contact your employer HR office to learn how to set this up.
If your company has a United Way campaign, you can ask the company representative about directing your contribution directly to Wake Up Narcolepsy. Your United Way campaign representative can supply you with WUN’s donation code in your state.
An easy way to double your contribution is through employee giving programs. Many corporations have giving programs in which they match employee gifts to qualifying organizations.
Contributions of any amount help. Use the search field to see if your employer participates in a matching gift program – as you may be able to double, or even triple, the impact of your gift! And your company may also have volunteer grants. Check with your employer for your company’s matching gift program.
Fundraise for WUN through social media! It’s fun and easy to create a Facebook or Instagram fundraiser for WUN. In lieu of birthday presents or if you’re just looking to raise awareness – create a Facebook fundraiser and ask your friends to donate to WUN. Follow the instructions below to get started!
You’ll see a screen pop up where you can invite your friends to donate to your fundraiser, share your fundraiser in your news feed, or donate to the fundraiser yourself.
If you’re not ready to do any of those things, click Not now.
A message will pop up that congratulates you on creating your fundraiser. From there, you can invite your friends to donate, share your fundraiser in your News Feed, or donate to the fundraiser yourself.
The fundraiser will be added to your bio and shared to your followers. You can edit or end at any time.
Once you have picked WUN and your fundraiser is over payments are sent to Wake Up Narcolepsy via Facebook, as Facebook owns Instagram. Wake Up Narcolepsy is paid quarterly.

The easiest and most common way to make a legacy gift to Wake Up Narcolepsy is through a bequest in your will. Bequests of any amount come “off the top” of your taxable estate and tax laws provide an unlimited charitable deduction for them. You may designate Wake Up Narcolepsy (Federal Tax ID #26-3768711) as a beneficiary in your will by using the following language:
