Bruce Corser grew up in upstate New York where he attended Gloversville high school. Upon graduation he received awards for best overall student and best athlete in a class of 280 students. Subsequently, he enrolled at Davidson College in North Carolina, where he graduated cum laude with an English degree. He attended medical school at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, New York. He then completed an internal medicine residency, followed by chief medical residency, and a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the University of Cincinnati. He entered private practice in internal medicine and pulmonary/ critical care medicine in 1987. He started a sleep clinic at Deaconess Hospital in Cincinnati in 1989 and thereafter achieved board certification in sleep medicine. In 1995 he established the Sleep Management Institute, an independent sleep disorder center, as well as a clinical research site. Since then he has participated as an investigator in hundreds of clinical trials for a variety of different medical and sleep related indications. In 1999 he graduated with honors from an executive MBA program at Xavier University in Cincinnati. Currently, he owns and operates the Sleep Management Institute, Intrepid Research, an independent clinical research site, and YourMD, a small concierge medical practice. He has received recognition from his peers as one of the best doctors in Cincinnati by Cincinnati magazine. He has three children and two grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, especially history and medical related books, hiking, exercising, skiing, and scuba diving.
