Wake Up Nacolepsy Founder Wins National Public Outreach Award

W.U.N. founder, Kevin Cosgrove, was honored by the Narcolepsy Network for his efforts to raise awareness about narcolepsy at the Narcolepsy Network’s 24th annual patient conference in Jacksonville this weekend. The Narcolepsy Network, the national patient support organization awarded Cosgrove its “Public Outreach Award” for 2009.

Cosgrove founded Wake Up Narcolepsy last year, in November of 2008.  In just one year, W.U.N. has raised over $35,000 through a series of fundraisers including W.U.N.’s First Annual Golf Outing last May.  Cosgrove accepted this award in person at the Narcolepsy Network’s Annual Conference in Jacksonville, Florida.

In addition, Wake Up Narcolepsy presented the Narcolepsy Network with a check for $2,500 to further its mission of providing support to people living with narcolepsy.
